Roberto Martinez has proved there is substance behind all the TV waffle.

The former Wigan boss has certainly made a cracking start to his Everton career.
They are sitting sixth in the Premier League having won five of their last six games.
The Toffees were the last unbeaten team in the top division so they will have plenty of belief – and rightly so given the results they’ve had.
And at this point Martinez has justified Everton’s decision to bring him in even though he got his last club relegated.
There’s no doubt that he comes across well in the media, too, even though some people have questioned whether there’s actually any substance behind the waffle on television.
But Everton’s performances have so far proved that Martinez appears to know what he’s talking about on and off the park.
And they can land a Champions League spot in the most open Premier League race of them all with red-hot Romelu Lukaku in their side.
Lukaku has certainly showed his parent club Chelsea what he can do with five goals in as many games for the Blues.
The 20-year-old Belgian has been called the new Didier Drogba and described as a “monster” by Sylvain Distin.
Lukaku has got everything in the locker – if you catch him on a good day.
Like Drogba he’s going to be unstoppable on his good days because he’s got all the attributes.
He’s a powerful player for his young age and I was surprised Chelsea allowed him to go back out on loan in the summer after he returned from West Brom.
Maybe Jose Mourinho thought the striker needed another season away from the Bridge to knock off some rough edges.
Lukaku is not the only young star shining at Goodison Park these days.
Ross Barkley made such an early impact this season that he earned his first England cap against Moldova.
He’s obviously a very talented boy at 19 although we must not put too much pressure on him.
Already there is some talk that he is looking a little tired in games and Martinez has stated he will keep an eye on his performances.
Too often we’ve seen these young players having all this pressure heaped upon them as the next big hope and they haven’t quite lived up to expectation.
Sometimes if we don’t put that kind of expectations upon them we might actually see the player flourish into the kind of player we want them to be.
