1) More talk about Lionel Messi‘s future! The current gossip is that his father has told Paris St-Germain that his first choice is to join Manchester City.
And according to Marca, Messi called City boss Pep Guardiola last Tuesday to say he wants to win the next two Ballon d’Or awards, and he can only do that with Pep.
2) Chelsea are looking to continue their busy transfer window – the latest name linked is 21-year-old Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. He has entered the final year of his contract at AC Milan and is valued at around £50m.
Despite his young age he has already played 178 Serie A games for Italy and 16 times for the Italian national time.
3) Another name linked with a move to West London is Declan Rice with Chelsea considering an £80 million offer for West Ham United and England midfielder Declan Rice.
4) Now that the Rodrigo deal has been completed Leeds United are set to sign Freiburg and Germany defender Robin Koch.
5) Inter Milan are just finalising the signing of Roma’s veteran Serbian left-back Aleksandar Kolarov – the deal is worth £1.34m.
6) Reports in Spain is that Liverpool’s Senegal forward Sadio Mane is willing to leave the Premier League Champions to join Barcelona – if the more goes through he would be reunited with his former Southampton boss Ronald Koeman.
7) His teammate, Georginio Wijnaldum is also wanted by Barcelona – the ex-Newcastle player scored 13 times in 52 games with his last goal coming in the 5-3 victory against Chelsea.
8) Manchester United are looking to the future and are believed to be close to signing young Spanish full-backs Marc Jurado, 16, and Alvaro Fernandez, 17, from Barcelona and Real Madrid’s youth teams respectively. There could be controversy as the duo have already been photographed in United training clothing with squad numbers 88 and 90.
9) Republic of Ireland international Matt Doherty is set for his Tottenham medical today after the London club agreed to pay an initial £12 million to Wolves.
10) Aston Villa look to have beaten Sheffield United and Fulham to Nottingham Forest’s English right-back Matty Cash who set to cost the Midland’s club Aston Villa are set to beat Sheffield United and Fulham to a £12 million.
