Yaya Toure wins African Player of the Year AGAIN

Manchester City’s Yaya Toure has been named Africa’s top player for the second consecutive year.

He edged out fellow Ivorian Didier Drogba who was second and ex-Gooner Alex Song who was third.

The vote was completed by head coaches, or technical directors from African countries.

Samuel Eto’o has had the most wins with four, whilst ex-Milan star George Weah won three times as has former Ghana international Abedi Pele.

A special mention goes to Herve Renard who won coach of the year after winning the African Nations Cup with Zambia.
