Edinburgh and Glasgow resume their Pro14 campaigns on Saturday after almost six months following since the Covid-19 pandemic delayed the season.
The big game is the first of back-to-back Murrayfield derbies that finally sees an end of a 176-day wait for return of competitive action.
There is a lot at stake with Richard Cockerill hoping his Edinburgh side can win their first league title.
They face a Glasgow side where Danny Wilson has taken over as the new coach – after a frustrating season it is highly unlikely they will be able to get to the semi-finals.
These grudge matches are a perfect test for both teams as well as the players looking to impress ahead of the next set of international matches.
Both the Scottish derbies will be staged at Murrayfield due to Covid-19 restrictions.
For the season to be completed each Pro14 team will play two games against a local rival to complete the regular season. Then the top two sides in Conferences A and B will feature in the semi-finals. The conference winners will have home advantage followed with the final being played on 12 September.
Unfortunately due to the level of the pandemic in South Africa, it has been agreed that neither the Cheetahs nor Southern Kings will take part in the final rounds.
It has also been decided that the quarter-final stage has also been removed from the competition in a revamp to enable a speedier completion.
The final fixtures for the rest of the competition are as follows:
