King Davidson: The world is not enough.

King Davidson is of the belief that he can become the number one contender in 12 months, before going on to conquer the world.

The Nigerian-born boxer is currently in possession of the WBO Light-Middleweight Championship, as well as being ranked 12th in the world.

King said: “In 12 Months time, by the grace of God. I should be number one contender in the world. So whoever is the Champion must fight me.

“At this point in my life I’m just out to conquer the world, whoever comes in front of me now is in a big risk.

I tried to call out the champion from Russia – he’s not returning the email.”

King, who has been boxing for over 20 years of his life, is set to have a pretty big year ahead of him.

His next fight is thought to be on March 1st where he will look to defend his title for the first time against a troublesome Philip Kotey.

The fight has not been officially confirmed, however trainer Wayne Batten is working behind the scenes to get it completed in time.

When talking about his next fight King said: “ I just want to take a big step and risk in my life by taking this fight.

“I never get worried about fighting anyone in the ring… I just go there train hard, prepare very well. Then just go to ring and give everything I have.“

Looking to the future, King is scheduled to be on the bill for the Kessler – Froch bout in May. An opportunity he’s confident about, and looking to seize.

“Since I’ve come to this country I haven’t had an opportunity like that to go and show people who I am, and what I’m made of.

I’m not someone who talks to much, I’m a man of small words but big action, when it comes to the ring in boxing.

Whoever they put in front of me is just a K.O to him, bad luck.
