Gerwyn Price faces Gary Anderson in the PDC World Championship final at Alexandra Palace tonight as they both fended off their semi-final opponents.

Price, the world no.3, beat Stephen Bunting 6-4 in a thrilling encounter of darting excellence. This high-quality contest saw a record 13 100-plus finishes.

With an average of 100, hitting 15 180’s, ‘The Iceman’ will now play his rival Anderson and will be hoping to win his first World Championship and reach world no.1.

‘The Flying Scotsman’ comfortably beat Dave Chisnall 6-3 but he did not convince throughout the match and will have to improve to win the Sid Waddell Trophy.

The two-time champion averaged 100, enabling him to reach his fifth PDC world final.

Price will be confident going into this clash, but Anderson has been on this stage multiple times and he will look to keep his cool against the roaring Welshman.

Price started his semi-final at an impressive rate, averaging 105. However, Bunting’s spectacular finishing saw him lead 3-1 and 4-3 after checking out a 148 to break Price’s throw.

The 35-year-old had to rally in the eighth, storming to an average of 112 in the set and carried this momentum into the remaining sets.

Meanwhile, in the other semi-final, Chisnall couldn’t rekindle the form that saw him whitewash the world no.1 Michael van Gerwen just 24 hours before.

He missed numerous chances at doubles and, despite hitting a 170, these failures allowed Anderson’s consistent throwing to come out on top.

Chisnall will be fed up with playing the Scotsman, having already lost two quarter-finals against him in previous years.

Although he was not at his best, Anderson always seemed in control of the match but he will be looking to up his game when he faces Price tonight.
