With 10 rounds of fixtures left for most teams, the Premier League season is slowly ending with the battle for European places as well as the relegation fight set to go right down to the wire.
Manchester City are runaway leaders at the top of the table, 14 points clear of second placed Manchester United.
They are expected to continue their dominance this weekend when they travel to relegation-threatened Fulham, who despite winning at Anfield last time out, have the near impossible task of keeping out Pep Guardiola’s side.
North London derby
Away from the leaders, the biggest match of the weekend is the north London derby on Sunday where 10th-placed Arsenal welcome seventh-placed Spurs.
The Gunners need a win to keep in touch with the rest of those fighting for the top six, while three points for Tottenham could see them rise into fifth depending on other results.
David Moyes faces old club
Current fifth-spot occupiers, West Ham, travel to Manchester United as David Moyes comes up against his former employers.
Both clubs have been on good runs lately, in what is shaping up to be an exciting encounter between the two teams.
Leicester City will be ready to capitalise on any dropped points by United, with the chance to move into second place if they can overcome Sheffield United.
The Blades are bottom of the league and look destined for the Championship, having picked up just 14 points all season.
Chelsea head to Leeds
Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea round off the top four and will be looking to consolidate their Champions League spot when they visit Leeds.
They are yet to lose under their new manager, seeing them rise back up the league and back into contention for a top four spot.
The remaining sides in the push for European football are Everton, Liverpool and Aston Villa.
Pressure is on Steve Bruce
Villa go to Newcastle on Friday night, hoping to take advantage of the Magpies’ injury crisis and get back to winning ways.
Steven Bruce will be without Callum Wilson, Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin, while Jack Grealish will be absent for Dean Smith’s side.
For Everton, they host Burnley the following day with the hopes of closing the gap between themselves and the top four.
The Toffees are currently sixth but lost in disappointing fashion to Chelsea last time out and will need to put in a much better performance against the Clarets this weekend.
Liverpool travel to Wolves on Monday night, looking to build on their Champions League triumph over RB Leipzig earlier this week.
Jurgen Klopp and his players have had a tough time this year but need to turn things around soon if they are to make it into Europe next season.
Elsewhere, West Brom face Crystal Palace needing a win to boost their hopes of survival going into the final months of the season.
The Baggies are eight points away from safety and have to start scoring goals sooner rather than later.
Finally, Brighton are only out of the bottom three on goal difference and, like so many others in the bottom half, have to start converting the chances they create.
Their next opportunity to do so will be when they go head to head with an out of form Southampton side, who come into the match following a 5-2 thrashing from Manchester City in the week.
