Following Boca Juniors’ Copa Libertadores exit against Atletico Mineiro six of their players and officials have been charged.

The Argentine giants crashed out on penalties after two goalless games but the issue was because a goal in both legs was ruled out by VAR which angered Boca.

Videos showed clashes in the tunnel and dressing room after their disappointing exit in the last-16 tie.

The Brazilian police even decided to use pepper spray on Boca players and officials.

The police released a statement confirming two of the Boca cgroup were charged with damaging property. They have since been released after paying 3000 reais (£421) bail each.

As for the other four involved were charged with causing bodily harm and abusing authorities. They have been released after agreeing to appear before a judge at a later date.

Meanwhile, Atletico announced that their club president had paid the bail money as Boca did not have enough money with them! But the amount will be reimbursed by the Argentine team later.

The six people have not been named and are due to return home soon.

But, Marcos Rojo was captured on camera being armed with a fire extinguisher and storming the opposition’s dressing room.

To make matters worse for Boca Argentine authorities have ruled that the squad must quarantine for at least seven days once back.
