Three teams lead the way at the top of the Premier League following this weekend’s fixtures, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all winning again.
Chelsea top of the Premier League on goal difference
Chelsea put Tottenham Hotspur to the sword, beating their London rivals 3-0 in comfortable fashion to go top of the league.
There were three unlikely scorers for the Blues, with Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger all netting for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are level on points with Chelsea, remarkably having the exact same score line as the European champions in every league game so far.
The Reds cruised past Crystal Palace, winning 3-0 at Anfield thanks to goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita.
Manchester United edge past West Ham
Manchester United are behind Chelsea and Liverpool on goal difference alone and were victorious again last weekend.
United came from behind to beat West Ham 2-1, with Mark Noble missing a penalty in injury time.
Algerian winger Said Benrahma put the Hammers ahead, before Cristiano Ronaldo and Jessie Lingard scored for the Red Devils.
Brighton stay in top four after surprising Leicester City
Brighton are the surprise package so far this season and they take the remaining top four spot after beating Leicester City 2-1.
A penalty from Neal Maupay was followed by Danny Welbeck’s first goal of the season, with Jamie Vardy scoring a consolation for the Foxes.
Elsewhere, Manchester City failed to keep up with their title rivals, only managing a goalless draw against Southampton.
Their match was made much harder when Kyle Walker was sent off early in the second half.
Norwich remain pointless after a fifth-straight defeat
At the other end of the table, Norwich are still yet to record a single point after losing 3-1 to Watford.
Ismaila Sarr scored twice for the Hornets following Emmanuel Dennis’ opener, with Teemu Pukki grabbing a consolation for the Canaries who sit bottom of the league.
Burnley and Newcastle make up the rest of the relegation zone, still looking for their first wins of the season.
Sean Dyche’s clarets were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal, with Martin Odegaard scoring a fine freekick for the Gunners.
On Friday night, Newcastle came from behind to draw 1-1 with Leeds thanks to some individual brilliance from Allan Saint-Maximin.
Raphinha had initially put the visitors ahead with a cross that floated all the way in at the far post before Saint-Maximin took matters into his own hands with a great solo effort.
Elsewhere in the Premier League…
The final two matches saw shock results, with Wolves losing out to Brentford and Everton being thrashed by Aston Villa.
Both Bryan Mbeumo and Ivan Toney scored for the Bees while Matty Cash, Leon Bailey and a Lucas Digne own goal helped Villa secure victory over the Toffees.
