There’s a title race brewing as the season heads towards its climax, with Manchester City and Liverpool going head-to-head in yet another battle for the Premier League trophy.

Manchester City travel to Everton

City are top of the league but sit just three points above the Reds with each having played 26 games.

Pep Guardiola’s side take on Everton on Saturday, looking to bounce back from their disappointing loss to Tottenham last weekend.

Liverpool will be hoping for a favour from their Merseyside rivals, while their own focus turns to the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

Manchester United entertain Watford

Manchester United are the other top-four side in league action and a win for them against Watford would give their hopes of European qualification a huge boost.

The Hornets are sat in the relegation zone and have won just one of their last one of their last 13 games, desperately needing a turnaround if they want to avoid relegation.

Elsewhere, Spurs travel to Leeds United looking to pick up three points and move into the top six.

Both sides lost in midweek and will be looking to get back to winning ways and build momentum ahead of the final few months of the season.

West Ham face Wolves in a battle for European football

West Ham and Wolves are both aiming for top six finishes and will go head to head on Sunday in what is shaping up to be a crucial game in the battle for European football.

The Hammers have had a weeks rest while their opponents were the victims of a late loss to Arsenal on Thursday night.

Down at the bottom

In the relegation battle, Brentford host Newcastle and will be looking to ease fears of an instant return to the Championship, with the Bees having won none of their last seven games.

Their poor form saw them drop down to 14th, while an improvement in the Magpies’ performances has seen them rise out of the bottom three and into 17th.

Norwich currently sit bottom of the league and take on a highflying Southampton side on Friday evening.

Dean Smith has overseen a slow turnaround as Canaries boss, but it may come too late if they want to avoid another return back to the second division.

Burnley take the last remaining spot in the relegation zone, sitting 18th, but have improved since the arrival of Dutch forward Wout Weghorst.

The Clarets travel to Crystal Palace, who sit comfortably in midtable having had a solid season under Patrick Vieira.

Finally, Aston Villa will be looking for their second win of 2022 when they face Brighton.

Steven Gerrard is still adapting to life in charge of Villa, while the Seagulls are enjoying a strong campaign under Graham Potter.
