After a 3-1 midweek win against Everton, Manchester City moved ten points clear at the top of the league while Fulham moved a point closer to safety after a 1-1 draw against Burnley.
All the teams are back in action again this weekend, with one of the biggest matches seeing City take on Arsenal hoping to extend their 17-game winning streak.
The Gunners have a history of ending Pep Guardiola streaks, though, twice halting his winning runs back in 2014 and 2015 when he was in charge of Bayern Munich.
Another huge game is the Merseyside derby which takes place on Saturday, with both Liverpool and Everton needing a win to put their top four pushes back on track.
The Reds won impressively in the week, beating RB Leipzig 2-0 away from home, but will need to be at their best against an Everton side who have been resilient against the big clubs this season.
Spurs and West Ham will be eager to take advantage of any dropped points by the Merseyside clubs, with both clubs also looking to mount a challenge for the European places.
The two London sides play each other on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Manchester United welcome Newcastle hoping to correct their poor league form, having won just two of their last seven league games.
They will need to better or match Leicester’s result in order to hold on to second place in the table, with the Foxes looking for all three points when they take on Aston Villa.
Chelsea have the opportunity to consolidate their top four spot after a good start under new manager Thomas Tuchel when they visit Southampton.
The Blues are favourites for all three points but will need to be at their best against a Saints side pushing the top half of the table.
Away from the fight for European places, there are also some key games in the relegation battle.
Sheffield United and Fulham go head to head, with a win for the latter potentially seeing them move within three points if safety.
West Brom also visit Burnley, currently sitting 12 points away from Newcastle in 17th and needing a miracle to see them remain in the Premier League.
Finally, Brighton and Crystal Palace go head to head in the M23 derby on Monday night, as both teams look to move closer to the top half.
In another mid-table clash, Wolves and Leeds face off on Friday night in a fixture that has the potential to one of the most exciting of the weekend.
