More of the top six dropped points this week as Manchester City extended their winning run to 21 games in a row and moved further ahead of the chasing pack at the top of the league.

A late flurry of goals from City saw them beat Wolves 4-1, going 14 points clear at the top of the table, proving to be an unstoppable force yet again.

Leander Dendoncker turned the ball into his own net after just 15 minutes, but Wolves equalised in the second half through Conor Coady.

Their joy didn’t last long, with late Gabriel Jesus goals either side of Riyad Mahrez’s strike seeing City win their 21st consecutive match.

Manchester United and Leicester fail to win

Three points for the leaders were made even better when Manchester United and Leicester drew their respective games.

It was a third consecutive 0-0 stalemate for United, who failed to score against Crystal Palace and only narrowly avoided defeat.

A late surge from Patrick van Aanholt ended with Dean Henderson making a fantastic save to ensure the points were shared.

Leicester came from behind to earn a point in their 1-1 draw with Burnley, missing the opportunity to rise into second place.

Czech forward Matej Vydra scored the opener after just four minutes, but Kelechi Iheanacho netted half an hour later to equalise.

A brief stint in the top four for Everton following their 1-0 win against West Brom was quickly ended by Chelsea who beat Liverpool at Anfield.

A Richarlison header earned the Toffees all three points in the Midlands, which saw them move into the Champions league spaces.

Chelsea finally win at Anfield

They sat in their new position for just two hours, though, as a Mason Mount goal helped Chelsea to a 1-0 victory against the reigning champions Liverpool.

A fifth home loss in a row for Liverpool leaves them seventh in the table, needing a dramatic change in form if they want to move back towards the top end of the league.

In a London derby, Spurs narrowly defeated Fulham 1-0 after an own goal from Tosin Adarabioyo to keep up with the rest of the top half.

Finally, Sheffield United picked up a rare win and clean sheet when they welcomed Aston Villa.

David McGoldrick scored the only goal of the match as the Blades moved onto 14 points for the season.
