Football returns to Wembley this weekend with two FA Cup semi-finals taking place between Leicester and Southampton, as well as Manchester City and Chelsea.

Chelsea versus Manchester City

City have the chance to make it to their second FA Cup final in the last three years, while Chelsea will be looking to avenge last season’s loss to Arsenal and make the final again this time round.

Both clubs are well versed in this sort of fixture, having won the tournament 14 times between them.

For Pep Guardiola and his players, their chances at a historic quadruple are still on and a win over the Blues will put them even closer to their goal.

It will be the first of two Wembley appearances in the space of just over a week for City, with their Carabao Cup final against Tottenham being played the following weekend.

On the other hand, Thomas Tuchel is just one match away from his first shot at silverware in charge of Chelsea.

The Blues have struggled in recent years against Guardiola, picking up just three wins and a draw in their last nine encounters.

Both sides will be high on confidence following their advances to the Champions League semi-finals, as Saturday’s match shapes up to be another FA Cup classic.

Leicester City versus Southampton

In the other tie, Southampton will be hoping to avoid anything close to a repeat of their 9-0 loss to Leicester last season.

Just a few months ago it looked like both sides would be battling it out at the top end of the Premier League, but now the Saints are nervously looking over their shoulders at the relegation spots below them.

They have since beaten the Foxes following the 9-0, but their form since the turn of the year has been terrible with just three league wins.

Despite the fact that the tie will undoubtedly be shrouded by the past meeting between the clubs, the opportunity for either side to make it to a major final shouldn’t be ignored.

With Southampton almost safe from the drop, and Leicester with one eye on their under-threat position in the top four, there could be an upset on the cards on Sunday.
