The Europa League quarter-finals take place this Thursday, with Manchester United and Arsenal both featuring and looking to advance into the next round.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side take on Spanish underdogs Granada, looking to continue their strong run in the tournament.

United have already beaten Real Sociedad and AC Milan in the previous two rounds, while their opponents this time out had to overcome Napoli and Molde FK.

Both clubs will be looking to make the semi-finals, with the Spaniards having never made it this far in European competition, and United looking to return to the final four for the second year in a row.

Elsewhere, plenty will be hoping that Arsenal can defeat Slavia Prague in the other tie featuring an English side on Thursday night.

The Gunners have already beaten Benfica and Olympiacos in the lead up to this quarter final, but all the focus last time out was on Slavia.

The Czech team initially beat Leicester in the round of 32, and then Rangers in the round of 16 in a match surrounded by controversy.

Ondrej Kudela will not play following accusations of him racially abusing midfielder Glen Kamara, and many fans will be looking to Arsenal to knock Slavia out of the competition.

Aside from English interest…

In the other two games in the round, Ajax welcome Roma and Villarreal travel to Dinamo Zagreb.

Ajax dropped into the competition following their elimination from the Champions League and have beaten Lille and BSC Young Boys so far in the Europa League.

Their opponents, Roma, have overcame Braga and Shakhtar Donetsk in the previous rounds but have struggled in their domestic league this season, currently sitting 7th in Serie A.

Finally, Villarreal will be looking to continue their unbeaten run in the tournament when they visit Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.

The Spaniards have conceded just six goals in nine Europa League matches so far and will be hoping to make it into the semi-finals for the first time since 2016.

Quarter-final first legs will be played on Thursday 8th April, with the second legs taking place on the 15th.
