Four British clubs feature in our Europa League preview this week, with Leicester City, West Ham United, Celtic and Rangers all playing.

Celtic victorious on Tuesday night

At the time of writing, Celtic have already played and won their match, beating Ferencvarosi 2-0 on Tuesday night.

Japanese forward Kyogo Furuhashi opened the scoring before a Balint Vecsei own goal sealed all three points for Agne Postecoglou’s side.

The other match in Group G will see first play second, as Bayer Leverkusen take on Real Betis on Thursday night.

Rangers desperate for victory

Direct rivals Rangers currently sit bottom of Group A, still yet to win a group stage game this season.

Steven Gerrard’s team are in action against Brondby IF, needing a win to improve their chances of qualifying for the next round.

French club Lyon travel to Sparta Prague in the other fixture in the group, currently on two wins from two in Europe.

Leicester City edge seven-goal thriller in Moscow

In Group C, Leicester got a win to push themselves back towards the top two, having found themselves bottom on just one point beforehand.

The Foxes won 4-3 at Spartak Moscow on Wednesday night, building on their superb 4-2 win over Manchester United in the Premier League at the weekend.

Polish side Legia Warsaw actually top the group with a 100 per cent record so far and will hope to continue their fine form against Napoli.

West Ham welcome Genk

Of the remaining British teams, West Ham have fared the best and have won both of their opening games in Group H.

They face off against KRC Genk on Thursday night, with the chance to make it three from three and put themselves in the best possible position to qualify for the next round.

Dinamo Zagreb and Rapid Vienna go head to head in the other game in that group.

Elsewhere in Europe…

Elsewhere, PSV Eindhoven welcome Monaco in one of the more eye-watering ties in the remaining group stage games.

The top two in Group B are both yet to lose and will put on a good show on Thursday.

Likewise, Real Sociedad are also yet to lose in Group B and can continue this when they travel to Austrian side SK Sturm Graz.

In Group E, Lazio take on Marseille in the hopes of moving into first, having won and lost in their opening two matches.

Galatasaray currently top the group, sitting on four points from their first two games, and will play bottom placed side Lokomotiv Moscow.

Fellow Turkish giants Fenerbahce will host Royal Antwerp in Group D, with both clubs still looking for their first wins in the Europa League this season.

Greek champions Olympiacos top that group, having won their first two games and with the chance to make it three wins from three when they play Eintracht Frankfurt.

Finally, Red Star Belgrade take on FC Midtjylland in Group F, with the other fixture in that group being Ludogorets against Braga.
