Erling Braut Haaland: Borussia Dortmund looking to keep star striker

With Chelsea and Manchester City keen on Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland his club have announced that they are planning on rejecting any offers for their striker.

It has been highly publicised that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is keen on the dangerous forward who has scored an impressive 20 times in 16 Champions League games for Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund.

He has been one of the most wanted players in Europe since he was at Red Bull Salzburg – before joining his current team for approximately €20 million on 29 December 2019 he was also wanted by Manchester United and Juventus.

In Austria, he managed to score 29 times in 27 league games before moving to Dortmund – he has since gone on to score 57 times in 59 matches in the Bundesliga.

Internationally, he has scored seven times in 12 games for Norway with an impressive ration of six in five games in 2020.

At present, there have not been any official offers but it is understood that the German side will reject any approaches.

But, one player who is set to leave Dortmund is Jadon Sancho – he is set to join Manchester United for a £73m fee following a gentleman’s agreement with the 21-year-old to allow him to leave after Euro 2020.

To keep the fans happy Dortmund have said that Sancho would be the only ‘marquee’ player to leave.
