Fulham and Championship top goal scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic scored a hattrick in a 3-0 victory against West Bromwich Albion in London.
The Cottagers extended their gap between their promotion rivals to four points as they sit second in the table continuing their terrific run of results. The Baggies have lost three out of their last five games and will be hoping to string together a good run of form themselves.
Cardiff City stunned Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium as they came back from 3-0 down to claim a point. Three second half goals in the space of five minutes was enough for the Welsh side to shock the home supporters and avoid defeat.
This stopped an eight-game losing streak as caretaker boss Steve Morrison earnt a draw in his first game in charge. Despite throwing away this lead and only getting a point, the home side are still within touching distance of the play-offs. The Potters have been on a poor run of form only picking up one point out of a possible twelve in their last four matches.
Bournemouth came out on top in a hard-fought win against Reading. Goals from Dominic Solanke and James Lowe were enough to secure the victory and continue their league campaign undefeated.

Swansea City blew away Peterborough United with three first half goals at the Liberty Stadium. The Welsh side dominated from the off and scored after only two minutes played. The other goals came before the break against a lacklustre away side. The Swans are starting to pile a good run of results together as they target the top six as the Posh hoover above the relegation zone.
Birmingham City pulled off a surprising result away to Middlesbrough. The Midlands side claimed all three points at the Riverside Stadium as two second half goals in three minutes was enough to claim the victory. Lee bowyer’s men now have back-to-back victories as the home side have now lost for the first time in three matches.
Bristol City ended their awful home record as they lumped more misery on Barnsley. The home side ended their seventeen winless streak at Ashton Gate as they beat the Yorkshire outfit 2-1. Andreas Weimann scored twice which turned the game on its head after the away side took the lead with an Aaron Leya goal. This gave Bristol City their first win in three games as Barnsley stink into further trouble continuing their losing streak.
Coventry City were victorious against Hull City in an evenly poised game. The Sky Blues continued their impressive form with a 2-1 win in Yorkshire. They have closed the gap on third place West Bromwich Albion as they lost this game week. Hull City have lost their last four games on the bounce and still sit in the relegation zone.
Huddersfield struck late as they climbed into the play-off places with a win against Millwall. Captain Jonathan Hogg scored the crucial goal in the game which saw the home side move up the league and keep their promotion rivals outside the spot six places. The Lions are only three points away from the play-off places after a mixed run of results.
Chilean international Ben Brereton scored a brace in the first half as he inspired Blackburn Rovers to a win against a desperate Derby County. This is their second win in a row and have moved within one place and point of the play-off places. Derby County are still at the bottom of the table and are seven points away from safety. The Rams are now five games without a win with pressure building on manager Wayne Rooney.
Blackpool scrapped an away win against Sheffield United as they claim their third successive victory. The home side dominated but in the end it was the visitors who scored the only goal in the game to claim all three points. Blackpool move up into the play-off spots after an impressive run of results as the Blades sit in seventeenth.
In the Friday night game Queens Park Rangers conceded late to share the points with Nottingham Forest in London. Jack Colback struck in additional time at the end of the game to claim a draw for Steve Cooper’s men. Scottish international Lyndon Dykes opened the scoring for the home side who let their lead slip at the death. QPR are just outside the play-off spots whilst Forest are starting to look up the table as they peel away from the relegation zone.
Preston North End caused an upset this game week with a win over promotion hopefuls Luton Town at Deepdale. Two goals from Emil Riis Jakobsen secured all three points for the home side as they saw off the Premier League chasing side. Luton slipped out of the top six spots as the victors started to move away from the bottom three.
