The 11th weekend of Premier League fixtures didn’t disappoint, with some huge results for many sides at both ends of the table.

Manchester is blue

Manchester City comfortably beat Manchester United at Old Trafford, netting two first half goals to come away 2-0 winners.

Eric Bailly turned the ball into his own net after just seven minutes, before Bernardo Silva scored on the stroke of half time as City closed the gap between them and Chelsea.

Chelsea held at home by Burnley

The Blues could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to Burnley, but still retained their spot at the top of the league.

German forward Kai Havertz scored first, before Matej Vydra equalised for the visitors who picked up another important point.

Liverpool’s unbeaten run ended by West Ham

After 25 games unbeaten, Liverpool were finally defeated, losing 3-2 to West Ham United and dropping to fourth, while the Hammers moved to third.

An Alisson own goal was followed by strikes from Pablo Fornals and Kurt Zouma, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Divock Origi scoring for the Reds.

Arsenal continued their fine run of form with a 1-0 win over Watford, which saw them go into fifth place.

The only goal of the game was scored by Emile Smith Rowe, while Juraj Kucka was sent off late in the match for the Hornets.

Antonio Conte took charge of his first Premier League game as Tottenham Hotspur manager, drawing 0-0 with Everton.
A controversial refereeing call saw the Toffees awarded a penalty, but VAR was on hand to overturn the decision.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace continued their rise up the league, beating Wolves 2-0 at Selhurst Park.

Goals from Wilfred Zaha and Conor Gallagher helped Palace to victory, as the Eagles moved into the top half of the table.

Norwich finally win their first Premier League game this season

Bottom placed Norwich earned their first win of the campaign, beating fellow newly promoted side Brentford 2-1.

Mathias Normann and Teemu Pukki netted for the Canaries, but the result wasn’t enough for manager Daniel Farke who was sacked just hours later.

Aston Villa head coach Dean Smith suffered a similar fate, being fired just two days after their 1-0 loss to Southampton on Friday night.

An early strike from Adam Armstrong was enough for the Saints, who won their second game in a row.

The only side still without a league win this season is Newcastle, who only managed a 1-1 draw against Brighton.

Leandro Trossard netted for the Seagulls, before Isaac Hayden equalised in front of the Magpies’ potential new manager Eddie Howe.

Finally, two quickfire goals saw Leeds United draw 1-1 with Leicester City.

First half goals from Raphinha and then Harvey Barnes saw the points shared Yorkshire.
