Week two of the Premier League was another exciting one with Liverpool beating Chelsea in the weekend’s big game and Son Heung-min scored a hat-trick against Southampton.
Chelsea 0-2 Liverpool
The Reds scored twice against the Blues, Sadio Mane (50 and 54 mins) scored twice for Liverpool, and Chelsea’s cause wasn’t helped by Andreas Christensen’s red card (45’+1mins).
Southampton 2-5 Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs put five past the Saints with goals from Son Heung-min (45’+2, 47, 64 and 73mins) and Harry Kane (82mins), while Danny Ings (32 and 90, pen) got the goals for Southampton.
Arsenal 2-1 West Ham united
The Gunners scored two goals past the Hammers with goals from Alexandre Lacazette (25mins), Eddie Nketiah (85mins). Lacazette has got two goals in two games. Michail Antonio (45mins) scored for West Ham.
Aston Villa 1-0 Sheffield United
The Villains got a win against the Blades with a goal from Erzi Konsa (63mins). John Egan (12 mins) got a red card (not a good day for United).
Newcastle United 0-3 Brighton & Hove Albion
The Seagulls put three past the Geordies, Neal Maupay (4 mins, pen and 7 mins), Aaron Connolly (83 mins) scored for Brighton but Yves Bissouma received a red card (89 mins) to sour their afternoon.
Leicester City 4-2 Burnley
The Foxes scored four goals past the Clarets who only got two. Ashley Barnes (20 mins), an Erik Pieters own goal (50 mins), James Justin (61 mins), Dennis Praet (79 mins) scored for Leicester with Chris Wood (10 mins) and Jimmy Dunne (73 mins) scoring for Burnley.
Manchester United 1-3 Crystal Palace
The Eagles scored three past the Red Devils with goals from Andros Townsend (7 mins) and Wilfried Zaha (74, pen and 85 mins). Donny van de Beek (80 mins) scored for Manchester United – his first for the club.
Everton 5-2 West Bromwich Albion
The Toffees put five past the Baggies, with goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin (31, 62 and 66 mins), James Rodriguez (45 mins) and Michael Keane (54 mins). Kieran Gibbs’ red card (45+1 mins) really hurt the away team. Grady Diangana (10 mins) and Matheus Pereira (47 mins) were West Brom’s scorers.
Leeds United 4-3 Fulham
Leeds put four past the Cottagers with goals from Helder Costa (5 and 57 mins), Mateusz Klich (41 mins, pen), and Patrick Bamford (50 mins). Aleksandar Mitrovic (34, pen and 67 mins) and Bobby Decordova-Reid (62 mins) scored for Fulham.
Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-3 Manchester City
The Citizens put three past Wolves thanks to Kevin De Bruyne (20 mins, pen), Phil Foden (32 mins) and Gabriel Jesus (90+5 mins). Raul Jimenez (78 mins) scored for the home team.
