What’s next for Cristiano Ronaldo? With Juventus star’s future uncertain could he move to PSG, Manchester United or even Wolves?

Cristiano Ronaldo could be about to take his footballing talents elsewhere as talk of him leaving Juventus has intensified over recent days.

The Portuguese star looks reportedly set to leave the Italian giants and has been linked to a whole host of clubs from high-flying Paris Saint-Germain to a shock Wolves transfer as well as former club Manchester United – who are seemingly forever linked with the Portuguese forward.

As it stands, Ronaldo is still a Juventus player and has scored six goals in four Serie A appearances this season. However, it is believed that his future at the club depends on both domestic and continental success.

The striker has won five UEFA Champions League’s already and wants to add more as his career slowly reaches its end.

Juventus crashed out of last season’s competition after a shock last-16 loss to French side Lyon, although they look poised to advance through the group stages this term.

Depending on how the current campaign goes, Ronaldo could be on his way out of Italy in a move that would yet again rock the footballing world.

The first club he was linked to was financial giants PSG, which would see them form a potential front three of Ronaldo, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe.

Speaking about the possibility of a move, PSG sporting director Leonardo told PSG TV: ‘Today in football we do not know what will happen.

‘Maybe tomorrow Cristiano Ronaldo wakes up and says I want to go play elsewhere.

‘Who can buy him? It is a close circle. PSG enters this circle.’

Clearly this leaves the Portuguese talisman’s options very limited, but that’s the price you have to pay for one of the world’s best.

Of course, Manchester United were quickly mentioned once it was suggested that Ronaldo was available.

He joined the Red Devils at 18 and went on to rack up 118 goals in 292 appearances before moving on to Real Madrid.

As a United legend, he would be welcomed back with open arms in a transfer that would likely break the internet more than anything else.

Reports in Portugal suggest a move could be done however, with United’s transfer strategy changing to see them focus on youth, the deal does not seem as likely as plenty of fans would hope.

Perhaps the strangest suggestion to come out of the past few days is Watford striker Troy Deeney giving the idea that Ronaldo joins the Portuguese revolution at Wolves.

The Englishman claimed on talkSPORT: ‘I would look more at a club like Wolves with the Portugal connection – that would work.

‘Wolves are creating something there with the players they have and are really going to push for the top six in the next couple of years.

‘The Portugal connection, as I said is so positive too. If they’re trying to go to that next level that’s the kind of player you need to get in.’

Although a bold claim from Deeney, could Jorge Mendes work his off the pitch magic again to bring Ronaldo back to the Premier League with a shocking twist?

Whilst his future remains unknown, it is clear that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner still has a desire to stay at the top and keep on winning.
